Larpro is a privately owned company incorporated in May 2006. Operations commenced in the current form and location in early 2007.
Steve Laracy founded the company (which currently retains core staff with varying qualifications, skills and experience) with ambitions to grow the business to a size with an adequate critical mass to undertake a small number of significant projects and a larger number of smaller projects at any one time.
We are staffed by engineers and project personnel with design and/or construction experience in a variety of different industries.
Expansion Abroad
In 2009 Larpro commenced operations in South East Asia working as the part of the Owner’s Team for the Sepon Copper Expansion. Since then, Larpro has provided services to a number of projects in the region including projects in Indonesia, Laos and Vietnam.
The establishment of a London office in 2013 has provided a base to source and execute projects in Europe (including Turkey) and Africa, with support from the head office in Australia.
Diversification
A key portion of our workload throughout the last 7 years has been projects in the mining and minerals processing sectors. Recently Larpro has expanded its industry sector focus to include food processing plants and is also actively seeking to provide services to the oil and gas sector. The commodity sectors we work in are continually expanding.
Partnerships and Joint Ventures
Larpro has recently entered into formal and informal associations with other parties to provide a more comprehensive service to clients without expanding beyond Larpro’s core capabilities.
